TRAVELING ACROSS NEW YORK STATE IN PICTURES
Hello Again, From Downtown Perry Where I Have Been Really Getting A Lot Of New Pictures With My 7D DSLR Camera. Carol & I Have Been Spending Saturdays Just Traveling Around To Different Towns & Villages That Have A Train Depot Or Even A Nice Waterfront Like A Lake Or Creek. Come Travel With Us In Pictures That I Have Taken In The Past Year Of Different Places Around The State Of New York.
SOME EXCITING PLACES IN NEW YORK STATE TO VISIT
We will soon be taking a trip to the City Of Oswego NY for there annual Harborfest that is a weekend celebration that end with 45 minutes of fireworks over the pier. This place is mobbed every year that we have attended. Its now about 12 years in a row that I have been there. Each time that we come here the main attraction is what have they done to restore the Inner Harbor Lighthouse. Some day we might be able to see the inside of this landmark. Harborfest draws thousands of people every year and is a great way to spend a Saturday. It usually is the last weekend of July of each year. There is always plenty to eat and drink here at the Harborfest.
SUN VALLEY CAMPSITE IN ARKPORT NY
We Are Here At Sun Valley Campsite W - 43 For The Weekend. Got In On Friday Afternoon And Will Be Here Till Sunday Afternoon. Much To Do Here Including A Super Looking Waterfalls That Goes For A Couple Miles Up Stream. Had A Hay Ride On Saturday Evening That Traveled Through Out The Campsites.
PHOTO TO THE RIGHT TAKEN FROM SANTA TRAIN
As we spent the afternoon at the Mumford & Scottsville Railroad Depots we took a walk down the tracks in Mumford to see the Oatka Creek and a deer crossed the tracks in front of us. When we come almost to the bridge where the tracks cross the creek the deer spotted us and took off into the brush. This Mumford Depot is now privetly owned and is now a plant and flower shop on Route 36 in Mumford NY.
BEHIND THE SCENES OF MY HOMEPAGE
I enjoy taking beautiful photographs every chance that I get. Carol & I have been going places every weekend now for over 10 years. In July I purchased a used 1992 Coleman Popup Camper from Buffalo RV that we will be using a lot this and next summer going to different places for the weekends. I have had my Konica Minolta 7D Camera since the January of 2005 and this past weekend I took my 24,000th picture. Every time we go somewhere the camera goes too. Usually on a nice day I will take 200 to 300 pictures. Just come back from spending a whole week in the Adirondacks visting places like Tupper Lake, Long Lake, Lake Clear, Lake George, Lake Champlain, Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, Fulton Chain Of Locks, Seventh Lake, Malone, Plattsburgh, Lake George Village, North Creek, Old Forge. Had some blue sky days and some gray sky days with rain. I got a lot of super sunset shots that make great screen savers. Go to my website at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jimduellcollection and check out all of my pictures. Total pictures are over 15,000 now and will still be adding all of the time. I usually take 8,000 to 10,000 pictures each year. In 2008 it was over 10,000 Pictures. I now belong to the Empire State Antique Truck Association Inc., We have monthly meetings at different places in Western New York and have a fall Drive Around this year it was through Letchworth State Park and had dinner at the Charcoal Corral in Perry, NY. In April we will be going on a bus trip for maybe one or two day to Vermont.
